IPS - Log files contains data related to non-protected interfaces

I noticed that in my IPS log files there are entries related to non-protected interfaces with IPS [:S]

2012:07:03-14:40:14 MYFIREWALL snort[7480]: S5: Session exceeded configured max bytes to queue 1048576 using 1049220 bytes (client queue). 192.168.***.yyy 65242 --> 95.101.34.25 80 : LWstate 0x9 LWFlags 0x6007

where 192.168.***.yyy is the ip address of an interface that is not listed in Global IPS settings

Thanks
