IGMP over VPN in ASG 8.3

Hello,

Is it possible to run IGMP over an IPSec Tunnel in ASG 8.3?
It appears to only allow me to use physical interfaces.

We are running 2 ASG, 1 at our head office and 1 in our remote office. There is an IPSEC Tunnel between the 2 offices but I need IGMP to also work over the tunnel so that the remote VOIP Phones can do conference calling.

Any suggestions will would greately appreciated.

    Hi, 

    IGMP uses its own Protocol and Registers Multicast streams.

    Both does not work easily over IPSec.

    Yet, switch to a RED site to site tunnel, which should work as expected.

    Hi, Theodore, and welcome to the User BB!

    When you use Gert's prescription, don't forget to deactivate the IPsec VPN before you activate the RED tunnel! [;)]

    Gert and Bob, Thank you. I very much appreaciate the quick responces.
    I don't have a RED device at the remote site as yet, as I've been doing all my testing on a test ASG box I'd set up.
    I was hoping to get it working with ASG, to save me the trouble of having to go back out to the remote site, but if the RED device is the only way to go then, I am gratefull for a solution.

    So again, thank you for your advice. Much appreciated.

    You don't need a RED device.  You can create a RED tunnel between two ASGs now.  The basic process is:  

    1)  Go to RED Management>>[Server] Client Management.  Click Add RED.  For Client Type, choose ASG.
    2)  Download the provisioning file.
    3)  On the other ASG, go to RED management>>[Client] Tunnel Management, Click Add Tunnel.
    4)  Upload the provisioning file.
