Ports to be opened

Hello

My Company has a New VPN Solution. In Order to be able to work at home (this is where my Astaro is) I have to Open all outgoing ports, which I don't like. Where can I find Out which ports I have to open?

Tanks

Roger

  • You only should have to open the ports needed for the VPN.  Which new VPN solution? SSL?  IPsec?

  • Hi Bob

It is some Kind of a Special Solution Handling all Kinds of connections, unfortunately I don't know what it is using. Isn't it possible to Look into One of the Reports to find Out which Port is Blocked?

I have the Same Problem for some Games. There are alias Ports that you have to Open and I Never know which.

  • Sorry I mean always and Not alias.
  • First, mark the new Allow Firewall rule to log.

Now, you can open the Firewall Live Log and watch what traffic is sent.  Put the IP of your target in the 'Filter' box and press Enter; that will then show only the lines relative to trying to make that connection.

    Any luck?

    Cheers - Bob
