What TCP (layer 3) load balancing will Astaro handle?

From what I read, there are 3 types of TCP load balancing:
How virtual server works

Astaro I believe is doing the 1st type which is using NAT.

Linux tools themselves have the ability to load balancing these other ways. Each have their advantages and disadvantages but that's for the user to know and control. Anyone know if this is something of interest? I'll put something into the Feature request section.

One advantage of one of the TCP load balancing ways is that the router can load balance to ANY IP, not in its own LAN. That's important to be able to do.

    Hi, it's probably NAT, but you can also do LB using Astaro's Reverse HTTP Proxy / WAF.

    I'm guessing the WAF can reach servers on other networks.

    Yes it can. However changing to the application layer (layer 7) brings on a totally separate set of issues. Hence the real question as to will Astaro handle what the Linux tools already handle. There are many situations that exist beyond what Astaro's technical abilities allow. Your assumption of course is HTTP(S). There are other things beyond that which can benefit from these other layer 3 types of routing.
