Blocking Hulu

How do you block Hulu with firewall rules?  I've added DNS Group definitions for
www.hulu.com and hulu.com.
It doesn't block the site from loading.  Doing an NSLOOKUP on
www.hulu.com
 yields:
Non-authoritative answer:
Name:    a1700.g.akamai.net
Addresses:  66.162.246.208
          66.162.246.209
Aliases:
www.hulu.com

www.hulu.com.edgesuite.net

Now if I block
www.hulu.com.edgesuite.net
then Hulu gets blocked, but other sites get blocked to (only one I'm aware of for now) like foxnews.com.

Sorry for putting in the code tags but this editor was changing the name of the URL's to something I did not want.

Thanks in advance!

Rick

  • Great question, Rick!

Hulu is one of those "cloudie" things, so I don't think you can use a Firewall rule.  Try an Application Control rule.
