Astaro Home w/ Linksys N-Router (WAP)

Astaro Home Edition v8.301 (TimeWarner cable WAN)
Linksys N-Router configured as WAP (switchport of Linksys plugged into Astaro)

Everything functions as expected OUTBOUND. However, I cannot communicate with the internal network via RDP or even ICMP when connected through the SSL VPN. 
I can ping the Linksys from the Astaro as well as a PC that is connected wirelessly. I cannot ping the Linksys or PC from my connecting machine from the SSL VPN. (NAT-T issue?)
If I am phyiscally in the network with this same PC connected wirelessly to the Linksys WAP, I can ping both the Linksys WAP and the other PC without issue.

I tried countless attempts/modifications to the NAT and Firewall rules but no luck. I support a few of the paid versions in the field and do not have any such issue.

Additionally, a colleague of mine just confirmed that he has the same issue, with a very similar setup. However, he seems to remember this being functional on a previous Astaro code. Any ideas? Thank you!

    Hi Angelo. The ASG Internal LAN is plugged into the non-WAN port of the Linksys.

    I believe that I tried disabling the firewall on the Linksys. However, this is one thing that I must check for sure. The unit is currently offsite so I won't know for a few days.

    The Linksys is handling the DHCP. I set the ASG as the DHCP server as well but that didn't seem to help. The Linksys' gateway is set for the ASG's Internal IP.

    They are on the same subnet. I experienced with the rules just for testing purposes just in case, but that had no bearing on the issue either.
    As a next step, I was going to try to route through the Linksys instead of using it as just a WAP. Thanks
