Minecraft Server

Hello, I've read every minecraft server post on this forum and while my symptoms are similar, they did not help me resolve the issue.  Basically, on the WAN network I can connect to my server, with horrible lag, and then about 2 minutes later it kicks me off with a timed out error.  I watched the server stats and it clearly shows sending data right at the log in and after about 5 seconds it does not send any data at all, but it will receive data the whole time until I am kicked off.  On the LAN network it works fine, so I suspecting this is a firewall issue.  I have attached a screen shot of my DNAT and the group it uses.

Edit:
I forgot to mention everything is on an ESXi server that has 2 NIC's.  One NIC is the WAN and one is the LAN.  Astaro routes between them.  The minecraft server is running on another guest VM on the same ESXi server.

    What doesn't work - your accesses from inside your network via your External IP or some outside person on the internet trying to reach your server?

    No one on the Internet can access my server. It works wonderfully on the LAN.  I don't know where accessing the server on the LAN via external IP address came from but im fairly sure that wouldn't anyway. When I am on my network I use the local ip address of the server.

    Nevermind, I see where it came from. I should have said my friends are not on my LAN, they are connecting from over the Internet.
