SSH Access to my Astaro box from the internet

Hi there

I need to access my astaro box from the internet using ssh. how can I configure that?

How can I do the same trying to access Astaro Webadmin from the internet.

Have been trying for hours without luck. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Roger 

    if you need to access your astaro box via ssh via the internet , you need to make sure that you have the specific ip/internet under the "Shell Access" configuration

    If you haven't had a chance to go through the manual or the online help please do that by going tothe up right corner on your ASG box where you can find the "online help" per configuration section

    I added the external WAN to the SSH Networks. This didn't help though and the help doesn't show much either. Do I also have to add a firewall rule or a DNAT?

    No - you need to add the 'Internet' Object to the SSH allowed networks (if this is a good idea is to be discussed...) as it is the traffic source for your SSH traffic. Maybe its a better idea to make that a bit more specific (..something like a dyndns adress for your home network and add a dns host for that dyndns account...something like that)

    Also, you need to login with the 'loginuser' account... you can set the passwords under Shell Access.
