If, however, you're asking about the rule list in 'Network Security >> Firewall', this is a different concept. Here, the group membership is not functional, only visual and organizational. Individual rules are edited to assign each to a group.

thanks a lot for your welcome and reply. Yes, I was asking about the rule list in 'Network Security > Firewall'. I know, that the grup membership is not functional, but I would like to edit some of the group names and also would like to delete some of them.
If you create a new group name when editing a rule, the new name appears in the group list when editing future rules. When a group name is no longer used by a single rule, it disappears from the list.
