Uplink balancing and DNS

Today I setup uplink balancing, and I discovered a "nice" surprice. I have 2 DSL lines and both my ISP prohibit the use of their DNS server to ips that does not belongs to their network. So first DSL can use its own dns server, second DSL can use its own dns server. Obviously I can put all dns servers in Dns forwarder list, but I suppose that this can cause some slowness in performing dns queries.

What do you think about this scenario?

    i'm thinking about updating the guide, it's a question of time ;o) And I like your idea of multiple availability groups. The availability group for reliability, and multiple of them for performance...

    It may definately be possible, that multiple single DNS servers as forwarders allows faster lookups, especially on systems with lot of traffic. But I didn't test or prove this theory. Maybe I try to figure out once, how bind / named exactly behaves with those multiple forwarder entries, before i postulate something to this.

    the guide is my personal opinion, how or where to tweak an ASG to probably squeeze out best possible performance, but also stay reliable in special scenarios ( as a failed upstream DNS )

    So the guide is not the only truth, but more a hint where tweaking may help solve performance or reliability related issues due (mis)configuration.
