QOS Astaro Gateway V8

Hey,

I'm using a Astaro Gateway V8, I want to use the QOS to slow down the http download to 1MB/s on my server. Does anybody knows why I have to set de upper bandwidth limit to 155kbit/s on the bandwith pools to have 1MB/s traffic limit on my servers?

If I set upper limit to 156kbit/s should be 0.01904296875MB/s .

    Hi, croc, and welcome to the User BB!

    The first thing to realize is that you only can make rules for traffic leaving an interface.  Any rule that you have for traffic coming to an interface is not considered.

    It's easier to help people with QoS if we know the problem.  Astaro QoS, unlike most others, focuses on guaranteeing bandwidth to preferred traffic.  This means that other traffic is unlimited when there's no need to limit it.  What traffic do you have that needs to be preferred or that you're having a problem with?

    Hi BAlfson, and thanks you for the welcome.

    I want to suppres the http and ftp on my RDP server. And guarantee the rdp service, just to be double sure.
    I didn’t know for sure but I though the latency on the QOS could disturbed the rdp service.
