Dumb Newbie?

Please assist my ignorance.  I have just installed the latest Astaro Gateway VM. It is up and running and I can get out to the internet and I am receiving email (SMTP).  However even though I have setup port forwarding rules for HTTPS 443 (Exchange OWA) and port 80 I cannot get in.  If I port scan from the internet I only have ports 25, 465, 587 and 1723.  I have setup a PPTP VPN hence the 1723.  Everything else is doing a default drop on the incoming connections.  

I know this ios going to be something simple, but try as I might I can't find the setting...........

    Are you sure you checked the auto-create firewall rule box for those dnat entries?


    Please explain that.  

    I have found the DNAT setting but why do I need that as well as the firewall rule.  With other routers I normally enable port forwarding to the appropriate server.  Do I need to setup a DNAT rule for every incoming connection?
