Access webinterface of ADSL Modem

Hi,

I have the following setup:

Internal Network --- ASG --- Modem --- Internet

My goal is to reach the webinterface of the Modem. I tried to add a additional IP adress to the WAN Interface of the ASG and added an NAT rule for that forwards from port 8888 from ASG to port 80 on the modem, but that didn't worked.

Can you give me a hint for solving my problem?

  • I am going to be the odd one out.

Using http proxy in transparent mode
1/. packets are identified as spoofed and blocked
    2/. disable spoof checking
3/. add lots of exceptions to web filtering connection times out.

Looks like it is stick the cable in the other hole on the modem occasionally.
