First of all, I did search the forums, but didn't find a solution to my problem.
I just replaced my smoothwall firewall with ASG 8 and am a first time Astaro user. Previously (with smoothwall) I have been able to connect to a private network via PPTP (I know PPTP sucks), but now with ASG I'm having trouble. I can connect, but no traffic appears to be passing through.
In ASG I created three firewall rules allowing PPTP, GRE, and RDP from my internal network to any. Also, the PPTP connection tracking helper is enabled.
For example, I am trying to RDP to a windows server on the remote network over the VPN tunnel which has worked in the past, but now it just times out.
Because it has been working I'm obviously missing something with ASG that needs to be configured. Any ideas?
