Ping become slow after enable IPS

Hi guys..need some advise on my astaro machine..i do a ping test before enable IPS and the result is average is less than 1 MS. But after i enable IPS it become slow, average less than 4 MS. Any idea why this thing happen? i really need IPS on my network.

    in a first person shooter 2-3 ms IS detectable..[:)]  I know i have run multiple fps servers behind astaros and this batching CAN cause problems since it delays packets and does not stream them in real time.  If you are running an FPS server i would put that server into the ips's bypass list.

    Hi..i can't bypass the server since our customer really want to use the IPS service..they questioning us why this thing happen..any good reason should i tell them guys..?thnks.
