Slow speeds

I have read through most of the posts on this site regarding slow internet speeds. I am unable to find anything helpful. We have a 45 mbps circuit, but we are consistently pushing from 4 to 7 mbps. 

We are only using the webfilter with http proxy in standard mode. Here is a screenshot of my dashbooard.

Any help would be appreciated.

    The Dashboard is showing a 43.9Mb/sec download - how have you concluded that you're only getting 4-to-7Mb?

    We are using an ASG625 running version 8.202

    We are experiencing slow web browsing speeds and slow ftp downloads. I used various speed test sites (I know thats not reliable, but they are consistent) as well as a couple of test ftp downloads which were also only coming down at 4-6 mbps. I did this last night when no one was using this device.

    I'm not saying that you might not have a configuration problem, but it helps to understand how Web Security works...

    Whenever you do a download (ftp or http), if it's large enough, you get a webpage that displays the progress and then displays the progress of the A-V scan.  For smaller downloads, there is nothing displayed.  Files larger than your selected 'Max scanning size' are not AV-scanned.  This alone makes it apparent why web-based speed tests are not meaningful.

    That said, the most-common cause of slowness is incorrectly-configured DNS resulting in the Astaro using the root DNS servers instead of ones close to you.  You might take a look at DNS Best Practice.

    I will call my ISP and see which dns servers i need to configure as forwarder. I ended up reconfiguring this thing from scratch. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to abandon the thread,

    I modified the DNS forwarders but didn't see any improvements.
