Traffic between DMZ and internal very slow

I have a problem in ASGV8 virtual edition with ESX4i
When copying files from the internal network to the DMZ, the max speed I get is 30K.
I've done a factory reset and redid the basic configuration and the speed continues at 30K/s.
Tried ASGV7 with the same configuration and the speed is about 60MB/s.
The DMZ and internal network are inside the same ESX4i box.
NICs are dual port intel e1000.

In all the tests the versions used had the latest patch levels.
Any ideias?

    With ASG8.200 you may give the vmxnet3 NICs a try instead of the e1000 ones...works well for me...

    If it were me, I'd also make certain that the NICs are using duplex and not simplex mode.

    MTU's are ok
    duplex is alright
    didn't try the driver yet...

    There's one thing that i forgot to mention, between internal and DMZ the speeds are 30K
    between internal and internet I get 4MB/s
    between DMZ and internet I get 4MB/s
    this looks like a routing problem between internal/DMZ

    Hi,

    I have the exact same problem between my internal and DMZ networks.  As Taiguer said, the speed between internal and Internet and between DMZ and Internet is as fast as it can be.  The problem is only between DMZ and internal.  

    (I have an i3 with 4Gb RAM, 4 network cards (Gigabit) and ASGV8).

    Hi, what speeds are you getting?

    Is it only affecting certain services (e.g. SMB / Windows networking)?

    Try temporarily disabling the IPS and see if that helps.

    the speed I'm getting is around 500K/s for big files (for example, a 500Gb ISO) and for small files, let's say php application source files, It's going down to about 2 or 3K/s!!

    The same problem happens with HTTP (Apache), Samba and also with a connection to a MySQL database server.  So the problem seems more on the Firewall (router) side.  And it only happens when going from the DMZ network to the Internal network and vice versa.

    I tried deactivating IPS, no luck.

    BTW, one thing I haven't tried yet (I think) is rebooting the Astaro PC.  Will try it tonight to see if that could help.

    Could be a NIC problem... check the speed and duplex on all the Astaro NICs and on the switches.

    Euh, rebooting the system solved the problem!!!!  Should have thought about it a lot earlier.  Would have saved many hours of trying to solve the problem.  Sometimes, the most obvious solutions are not the ones coming to our mind!
