Hello,
there's a question i have about the new weighted balancing multi-wan balancing versus the previous established MP rules:
Previously, i'd set either interfaces persistance or src/dest persistance based on protocol(port number) and source dest.
Now with 8.2 we have the new option to add weights to different interfaces and a persistance timeout (which i assume means that X connection goes through Y interface and after the timeout it gets re-evaluated to see which interface it uses).
But the MP rules states:
"Persistence has a default timeout of one hour. You can decide what should be the basis for persistence:"
so... how do the two interoperate in these scenarios:
1) with a per-connection rule, which means every connection gets "round robined", what happens when a link is saturated and connections need to go to the "less weight" one after the weight persistance expired(but apparently not the MP one)?
2) with a source/destination rule, which tries to maintain the same IF for the same SRC/DST pair?
or am i better off disabling those MP rules and letting the system do it automagically?
