I have several Astaro deployments where the site has multiple internet uplinks. The Astaro seems to keep the load balanced equally across both links. However in most cases, the uplinks are not the same bandwidth. For instance, I have a site with 4 bonded T1s as one uplink, and a cable modem as the other. The T1s max out at 6 Mbits and the cable maxes out at 20 Mbits. When I look at the bandwidth usage, they're usually both right around 6 Mbits peak.
Does anyone have any configuration suggestions so that the units will distribute the bandwidth more as a function of percentage of bandwidth rather than keeping the two equal?
One thought was using a policy route to send web traffic through the cable connection, but how does that work for failover if the cable connection goes down? My concern there is that it will continue to try to route the traffic to the cable gateway and time out.
What are other Astaro aficionados doing in this scenario?
