Some Help with QoS

Now i know this has been asked about a thousand times by now, and i do feel like a bit of an idiot for asking, but if u dont understand stuff, best to have someone help you [:P]

now its become apparent to me the last few weeks since our bandwidth had an upgrade, that some people are choosing to hog the connection.
so i would like to limit each network to a certain amount of traffic either in total or per service. im looking for something like this.

-> Cap networkgroup1 to 2mb download/500kb upload
-> Cap networkgroup2 to 2mb download/500kb upload
-> guaranty networkgroup3 2mb/500kb but allow to use excess.

anyone wanna help point me in the right direction?? [:)]

EDIT: main types of traffic i want to shape are ftp/s http/s p2p and voip (or across the board if possible)

    Hi, controlling downloads is harder, so I would recommend just checking the 'Download Optimizer' on your EXT interface in QOS settings.

    For uploads, you can define a Traffic Selector and a Bandwidth Pool for EACH network, and 'Specify upper bandwidth limit' of 500kb.
    For network 3, skip the bandwidth limit (so it can use the excess available)

    Also, you may wish to set the 'Bandwidth' field, which is the MINIMUM bandwidth guaranteed for that pool. Be careful not to over-commit; e.g. all pools added together should be less than your total uplink bandwidth.

    So you might want to set the minimum to 50kb for each network; maybe higher for network3.

    You should also setup a VOIP pool, with about 80kbps per VOIP line set for the minimum.

    If you want to cap P2P separately, create a bandwidth pool for the p2p services you have running, and set a 'upper bandwidth limit' for it too.
