Howto forward Port 80 or 8080 to a specific IP???

Hey there,

I have a 7.509 ASG with the following features enabled:

Firewalling
IPS
HTTP/S - Proxy
AntiVirus
AntiSpyware
Remoteconnections

The following features will be enabled shortly:
SMTP-Proxy
Antispam

So, what I now have to do is to forward Port 80 or 8080 to a specific IP-Address! And I haven't got a clue/idea how to do that and I would highly appreciate it, if one of you could tell me, how to do that in detail, so that I can learn and understand!

Thanks for your Help
Cipher

  • Hi Cipher,

"External (Address) refers to the IP address web browsers are contacting from outside your system. In my case at home that's the public IP I get from my Internet Provider's DSL modem.

The "Service" refers to the port number but does so in a easier to understand fashion. You want to select either "HTTP" or "HTTP Proxy" which refer to ports 80 & 8080 respectively.

In that scenario "Webserver" is a host definition for the internal IP address of the web server you want to be forwarded to.
