I have a cable modem with service as follows
15Mb/s down to my house from the Internet
2 Mb/s Going out to the Internet
I defined only one interface, The Internet facing one.
What I don't get is that for the Total available Uplink Bandwidth (I take that to mean going out to the Internet) I set at 2024 and for the Total downlink bandwidth I set as 15880 as speed test show I get 15.88Mb/s. With this set this way my speed slow way down to about 1.7Mb/s download and up load at about 1.5Mb/s.
When I turn this QOS off on that interface the speed is back to normal. Then I switched the setting around as you see in the attachment and all speeds are now normal. I am getting full download and upload speeds. My confusion is what is meant by up Uplink and downlink? Is uplink = upload speeds and downlink=download speeds? It does not seem to correlate. Can someone tell me what the correct settings I can configure for this kind of Internet connection? Is it correct the way I have it now?

Update: I just seen I was using the wrong interface. so I should be good now that I have defined the bandwidth on the external. I'm getting old.
