VoIP Tutorial

Is there a VoIP tutorial or sample setup for VoIP? I sell VoIP IP PBXs and would like to use Astaro. To date I have not had success with the VoIP proxy or QOS. I typically have a IP PBX inside the firewall. I can get the VoIP security to work but then my remote phones do not work. Also not having much success with QOS. Can someone point me in the right direction. Searching the forums has not been much help on the remote phone issue.

    One thing that I've found is that the SIP-proxy doesn't work with phone systems that have tight tolerances.  It has to do with the increased latency that a proxy introduces.  No phone vendor that I know of gives instructions for use with Astaro, but many will give some guidance for using Cisco products.  If a VOIP provider recommends turning off Cisco SIP fixup, then you most likely do not want to use Astaro VOIP proxy.
     
    Probably your best guidance for QoS is to take a look at threads here on the forums to see how other people have set things up and used it.
