So I have done a bunch of searching and I swear I have my setup right but it doesn't appear to be limiting the bandwidth properly. I am trying to limit the bandwidth usage of a single host on my network. I am running 8.003. I want to allow 1Mbps download and 256Kbps upload. The download appears to work fine but the upload doesn't. I feel like I'm missing something really stupid... Here are the speeds I'm seeing:
And here are my configs:
Can someone please spot the error of my ways? Thanks so much!!!
I think it's time to look at new pictures of the current status of your QoS configuration.
Did you correct the bandwidth setting for the External interface to indicate 7Mbps for uplink? Did you remove "Selector 1" (traffic to the Internet) from the Bandwidth Pool for the Internal interface?
Also please confirm that none of the Host/Network definitions you have created is bound to a specific interface - that all have 'Interface: >'.

Hi all, i have did like page 1 suggestion, but my qos still not work. here's my condition: i have two provider a (6Mb) and b(2mb). provider b i had set it as standby-failover.
so i test create a qos for my computer. i want my computer only have 250kb for max and guaranteed for browse or download on internet. here's the pic for configuration:
any step i miss it ? i still get bandwidth more than 250kb
* it's work now, i should create pool in internal interface and with in selector. thanks for Bob
