separating LAN's

I've on lan set up one NIC called internal (configured during setup) and one LAN called midle (configred later on). On internal I have one network with servers, and primary workstations. Internal are Nat'ed on WAN against the internet.
The lan called midle as 2 firewall rules, one for general websurfing on the inernet, and one to allow DNS traffic. The Lan midle is being nat'ed on the WAN against internet.
Are there any think I have to do to prevent the LAN midle to access the LAN internal, or will the firewall block all traffic by default?

    I have a very similar setup, with our primary household network on one LAN interface and a loosely-protected WAP on a second LAN interface for use by visitors.  The two are completely protected from each other by default, but you might want to check that, for example, your outbound web surfing and DNS rules from "middle" specify a destination of "Internet", not "Any".

    In our case, I also added a rule to allow guests to access our networked printers.
