Need some help please. It looks like there is something wrong with my rulebase?
I am trying to connect to another network using the Cisco VPN client. Once I connect, I am no longer able to surf the web locally on my machine. And when I disconnect the Cisco VPN client, everything works again. I checked with the netadmin at the remote location and he said split tunneling is not disabled. I should be fine but I'm not.
This only seems to happen with my Cisco VPN client. I am also running a Nortel client and I have no problems surfing the web simultaneously when that is running. I have installed Cisco VPN on a separate PC over another connection and it lets me surf the web. The Cisco VPN client has an "Allow LAN access" box but that doesn't have any effect on the problem.
This would seem to only happen while I am doing this behind the Astaro firewall. Is there something I am missing in the rulebase?
The rules on the Astaro have my PC NAT'd to a public IP that is part of a range of public IPs provided by my provider. The rules also have the default HIDE rule for everything else on the LAN.
