Hi, I am trying out astaro to see if it would be a good replacement for our current internal fw. Everything is working well so far, but I am having a little bit of trouble limiting bw.
I have done a bit of searching and the configuration requirements are confusing. Let's say I want to limit the total bw for a certain IP. Some posts say it is possible, some say it isn't yet.
Client ----------> ASG ----------> Internet
If I understand it correctly to limit total bandwidth available to the client for download, I would need to create a traffic selector that has the source as the ASG internal IP and the Client IP as the destination, then a service of ANY. Then I would create a bw pool on the Internal UP? interface on the ASG? Unfortunately I have tried that and it didn't work. I read a thread which led me to believe that this may just be an issue with v8 beta. Can anyone confirm this?
For Bob (so you don't have to ask): No user complaints or other outstanding issues. I simply want to limit some ips available bandwidth.
Thanks,
Trevor
