Service Exceptions for IPS Rules?

Does anyone know of a way to create an exception for a specific service in IPS?  Some of the 'Malware' Attack Patterns seem to block Torrent traffic but the only exception options that I can find seem to be for an entire host / network which kinda defeats the purpose of IPS!!

    In the upcoming v8 you'll be able to achieve what you want. IPS exceptions will have "chained" rules using and/or by source, destination, and service. See the attached screenshot.
     
    You can play with V8 right now.  See the beta forum for details.  As a word of caution, this is a beta and does have issues.  It is not recommended to use in a live production environment.
