I have 3 WAN connections: 1 x Satellite, 2 x 3G. The network has a number of different vlans operating and currently the astaro is set up in multipath uplink balancing with vlan_x using one of the 3G connections, vlan_y using the other 3G and the rest of the vlans going out through the satellite by default. The 3 WANS are prioritised with Satellite at the top followed by the two 3G connections.
The first issue is that one of the 3G connections keeps going up and down constantly. I have run my own ping test from the vlan and there is considerable jitter (+/- 150ms) for an average ping of around 250-300ms but generally all packets are returned. Every now and then I get a timeout. I can only assume that these timeouts are what is causing Astaro to detect the interface as being down. The 3G router I am using is indicating that it has remained connected throughout constantly with no interruptions. Is there any way to get around this. I have tried adding my own check IPs but still the same problem. I now have over 400 emails in my inbox indicating interface up/down.
The second question is that the group of people on vlan_x on one of the 3G connections want to use skype. For some reason, despite the bandwidth (~3mb) skype runs very poorly on the 3G connection. It runs much better on the satellite connection. I would like to set up some rule that routes all of vlan_x traffice through the 3G but routes skype traffic through the satellite interface. I dont want to route all traffice through the satellite as the bandwidth is only 512kb.
