Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and i hope you can help me with my little problem.
I do have an ASG 425 here with Software Release 7.5 and i can't get the port forwarding for a custorm service working.
I read the instructions at the knowledge base und looked at different threads here at this board.
I wasn't having difficulties enabling the port forwarding for a standard http service on port 80. This works perfectly.
But i like to have my custom port being forwarded (TCP 5544)
So this is what i have been doing so far:
1. Create a Service Definition:
Name: myService
Type of Definition: TCP
Destination Port: 5544
Source Port: 1024:65535
2. Create a Network Definition
Name: myHost
Type: Host
Address: 10.10.50.1
Interface: >
3. Setting up NAT Rule
Name: myRule
Group: :[:P]lease Select::
Position: 1
Traffic Source: Any
Traffic Service: myService
Traffic Destination: WAN (Address)
NAT Mode: DNAT
Destination: myHost
Log initial packets: true
Automatic filter rule: true
I also experimented with a special packet filter, allowing packets from "ANY" with Service "myService" to "myHost" but it didn't work either.
All i get is a connection refused error.
In the packet filter's live log i can't see any information regarding my connection attempt.
Is there any other logfile where i could get more information from?
Where is the initial packets log, which i enabled with the NAT rule?
Sorry for those many questions but i am bit desperate because i can't get it working for hours.
Thanks for your help
best regards
royce
