ASG - Uplink Monitoring with Failover

that is my constellation.

I want to use the ISDN Router as Failover if the DSL Router goes offline.

Is that possible with Astaro!?

    Hi,
    Yes this is easily possible, you just need a 3rd network interface on the ASG where you connect the ISDN router.
    Name it WAN2. you need a dedicated transfer network between the isdn router and the asg.

    Configure the default gateway on WAN2 but do not enable it yet.

    Go to the wan link balancing tab and Add the WAN and WAN2 interfaces and select fail over mode. The order of the interfaces is important. The most upper interface is the master and always online.

    That's all you need to do.

    thx a lot for your help, with a 3rd network interface is that to easy. [:)]
    I have only 2 network interfaces and the ISDN router is in the Lan site [;)] (see the picture).

    Is it possible in this constellation to still use the VPN Connection to another ASG if the ISDN Router is online??
    Because if DSL is broken and the ISDN Router is online I get a new IP from the Provider. Then my VPN Connections won´t work anymore, or??
