Question about firewall recommended user

Hi, i got a simple question here.
How does Astaro calculate the recommended user range for their firewall products?
here:
Astaro Security Gateway Hardware Appliances

I thought it has something to do with throughput, but after calculating it by myself i noticed some inconsistencies,
Such as Astaro Security Gateway 220 got 1800 MB throughput and 75-300 recommended users, but ASG 120 got 3000MB but it got 200-800 rec. user,

If we take the max recommended user, ASG 220 got 1800/300 = 6 MB per user
And ASG 320 = 3000 / 800 = 3.75MB per user

As you can see the throughput per user are different for those 2 products, 
So what parameters are used to calculate recommended user?

    I'd say the simple answer is that each hardware platform will have a different limiting factor.  What problem do you have that prompts this question?
