Blocking SE Asian IP ranges?

Ok, so I'm sure the majority of admins would agree that most of the interweb's spam originates from China, Korea, possibly some Vietnam in there.. Basically the Southeast Asian area.

So I want to block all IP blocks that are used by those countries.  Obviously the first step is determining those ranges.. but secondly is this possible within Astaro?

And by block them I mean totally blocked, all ports, all services, all protocols... unless specifically whitelisted.

    Hi,
    do you have your own mail server behind the ASG? 

    You can block IP ranges in the ASG Packet filters a lot of work in this version. You can do the same thing in the POP3 and smtp proxies, but it is a lot of work. You would need to do a similar thing in the http proxy as well.

    You could probably do the same thing with SNAT pointing at a blackhole.

    The proxies see the packets first then the PF rules.

    No I do not have a mail server behind the Astaro, so I can't do much if anyhting about Asian mail spam.  

    So let's say is there any way to import or paste a txt file filled with the ip ranges either in CIDR or contiguous format via the CLI on Astaro?

    Hi,
    no, not in this version.

    V8 which will be released later this year promises to have the ability to block geographical site.
