alternate ip on internal interface dropping packets in filter

I have an internal address of 192.168.25.1 on my private site of my astaro box.  I've setup an alternate ip on the internal interface of 192.168.0.1 to support our printer system that uses this addressing scheme.  I can ping the addresses on the printer network, but cannot print to the devices.  The packet filter live log shows packets from my 25.1 network going to 192.168.0.75:515 being dropped.  I have nothing in my packet filter that is doing this so it's obviously a default setting somewhere.  HELP!!

    "Firewall" = "What is not specifically allowed is denied"

    Is there a reason to have the printers in a different subnet?  Why not just change the primary IP on the interface to .0.1?
