No Netflix from XBOX Live

Let me start by saying that I'm not having issues playing on XBOX live while running two xbox 360 consoles.  My problem is that I'm unable to view movies from netflix from any xbox console. I can log in and view what's on my queue but after selecting the movie, the xbox locks up while determining my video quality.  I have no problems watching netflix from any of my PCS.

Any ideas or suggestions?  Please be as detailed as possible since I'm very new to the astaro software and I'm still finding my way around.

    Hi,

    Please let us know what rules you have configured, such as what services are allowed in the packet filter and if you are using the http proxy or Intrusion protection?

    I would suggest checking the logs in the packet filter, http proxy and Intrusion protection to see if any traffic is being dropped. This will tell you if you need to open a port or add an exception. If you are still unsure what to do from there, please post any log lines that you find and maybe some pics of your setup rules, so someone can help you configure this.

    Got the EyeTv working to the extent that the application is showing a green light so it has connected with elgato's server but I still can't get it to from a remote location using my iphone.  Guess I also need to open some inbound ports.  Will try that later.

    Sorry this post had nothing to do with the subject line. I'm still working on solving the netflix playback issue thru the xbox 360 and the NAT problem with the 360s showing up as moderate instead of open.

    I was able to resolve my xbox and netflix issues by creating an exception to the "Exceptions" tab under the HTTP/S section of the Web Security area.
    I have it skipping Caching / Antivirus / Extension blocking / MIME type blocking / URL Filter / Content Removal for 
    nflximg.com
    o.xbox.com
    api.netflix.com
    vo.llnwd.net

    I wonder if this would resolve the VOD issue with the DirecTv boxes out there?

    I think it may.

    I just realized I have and exception for my Blu-Ray player for netfix.  Figured I'd give it a try and see if it resolved my Directv VOD issues.  It looks like it did.  I started to get progress when I turned off the HTTP proxy.  So I cloned the rule from the netflix exception and it seems to be working.

    Thanks for the info. I had an exception setup, but not with all the checks skipped. Only a couple. It worked for me and my Panasonic TV with Netflix built in.

    Yes it does,  I took all of my streaming devices in my house and added them to the exception list to exclude from everything.  This also resolved the issues that I had with my PS3s not getting their updates either.  

    The one that was a pain in the ass though to do the initial setup was the ROKU because of the fact that it wanted to ping something and ping back so I had to turn on the ICMP stuff for a bit but once it was all good to go shut it back off and no problems since.
