SSL Vpn Cert is only 1024bit even though i choose 2048

This has been an ongoing issue with using the open vpn connection.
I have a vpn user and i have selected that the key bit length be 2048 bits but when i export the certs from the web portal and review the certificates, the key length still is only 1024. Is this bug going to be fixed, i have seen taht others have noticed this also

Ive read that link but it doesn't explain how to make a certificate authority in ASG 2048Bit..there is no option that i see that allows this

With 7.502 I tried following:

Created a certificate with 2048 Bit. Downloaded it as *.pem and reimported it as a signing ca in tab CA.

Downloaded SSL config files for the user. *.ca.cert had public key with 2048 Bit. Problem: I couldn't connect to my ASL... So I restored my backup.

Maybe I didn't tried enough or/and misunderstand something with the different keys.
