Uplink Balancing with 2nd ISP DSL

Dear Members, 

I am recently trying to add a second ISP to my astaro firewall ASG 220. to create redundancy for web surfing & backup for email MX records. 

It is a ADSL PPPoE packages that comes with 1 fixed IP & a DLINK 520B modem + router. 

I go to interface -> add interface. but here is where my problem come: 

Which "TYPE" should i chooce for my second ISP line ? given it is from a ADSL router modem? is it "ETHERNET STANDARD" or "DSL PPPoE" ? I am confused. 

if it is "ETHERNET STANDARD" then the IP field should I put my fixed IP or ? how about net mask ? /24? 

if it is "DSL PPPoE" should i tick the "Static PPPoE IP" check box and enter my ISP given fixed IP?

or any other type that i missed ? 

Any help will be extremely appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi, yes you should use DSL PPPoE.

    If the ISP gave you a static IP, then set it as static.

    What is your other connection, btw?

    Thanks alots for reply, I am really confused here. 

    To answer your queries: 
    My Other ISP is a wireless based leased line that comes with 5 fixed IP. I configure that as my default gateway. 

    Just one little question though, my DSL modem is a 2+ device that come with a router. so it has the user name and pssword for DSL configured in it. and it has a dhcp service in there too. 
    My confusion over here is... then why do i need to set uid/password in astaro again? and if i set static ip in astaro then will it conflict with my DLINK 2+ modem router? 

    Sorry if that is a stupid question but I am a newbie in this area... I really appreciate you can advise. thanks again.

    Normally you want to bridge the DSL modem, especially if you have a static IP.

    I don't know what "2+" means though.

    Err... ok you got me here, how do i configure bridge mode? is it in my modem+router device? 

    2+ merely means it is 2-in-1... that is modem and router...

    yes, bridge the modem/router.
    If you don't know how, use Google, searching for the model number & 'bridge'
