IPS Not working at all?

Hello,

I have an Astaro home use license, and I am having trouble getting IPS to work.  I have my internal network listed in the "Local networks" list, but I am seeing NO hits at all on my system in the IPS logs.  This seems odd to me, because back when I was using another firewall product, I got hits all the time on Snort.  Have I setup something wrong?  I am somewhat of a noob to the firewall scene, but I am a software engineer, so I am computer literate, and can provide any additional details if necessary.

    the same here. since an update two years ago i never sew any ips attacks. i had at least three clean installs since then and no change. i thought it might be some configuration error i made and with every backup restore i recreate the scenario. i have friend who lives in my street and uses astaro too for his home network and he receives a lot if ips entries. the only difference is he has a dsl connection and i have cable. the ips is definitely working, i removed myself from the exceptions list and attacked the server and that was the first time i saw ips entries on the dashboard in a very long time.

    Hi,
    I would hope you don't see any attacks from inside your network, that would be a worry.

    Remove the internal network and replace it with your external network.

    I see between 2 and 10 "attacks" a day, depends on who is surfing where.
