The ASG is a great product for business and home use, however you should keep in mind that it isn't for everyone. Based on your posts it sounds like you have used / tried multiple different firewalls with little success. At the end of the day this might just be one of those situations where a simple firewall with UPnP would work better, like a linksys or netgear home firewall.
If you keep on the ASG path (which I hope you do as it is a great product) then get acquainted with your "live log" features. Within your packet filter and http filter you will find a button called "open live log" which can and will show you any traffic being blocked. The information shown there can then be used to develop new packet filter rules to allow the traffic needed.
The ASG isn't something you can just buy form the store and know how to use it without ever reading the directions. Read the directions, play with it for a couple hours and you will be an expert in no time.
Jayson's got a point; it's really not a consumer level product; it's intended for use by IT types who are familiar with how firewall, IPS, etc. operates. It is one of the easiest systems to configure out there in the market, though.
If you're still stuck, and can't make heads or tails of what we're suggesting, you might be better suited to a simpler system.
