Hi all,
I recently upgraded to 7.500 and have had very few problems with it however recently I upgraded my little webserver to use php 5.3. Since then I've had a few problems with the IPS going beserk.
It originally (i.e. when I first upgraded to 7.500) decided that phpBB was a threat so I had to find the rules and disable those and it's been working since - until the upgrade to php 5.3. The symptoms are that the packets are just dropped (as per the IPS rules I guess). Any access to the phpBB site just resulted in a browser error stating the webserver may be down or busy.
Today I tried a shutdown/reboot in the hope that it would sort itself out but that didnt work, and combined with the fact that when I went to login again I got the following screeny that should be attached.
After logging in on the command line and rebooting again it I could login over the GUI.
The IPS was complaining about a "SAME IP" problem (logs have wrapped so I cant copy/paste the exact message) and it wasn't until I stopped and re-started the IPS did it start to behave.
It's working as expected now but I thought I'd ask the Q. as to why this would happen, or if there's something else that needs to be done.
