Problems Activating QoS Policies

Hi, I'm trying to enable the QoS Policy on my astaro. I have readed some documents of the KB about that and I've configured in the right way but when I'm try to enable the bandwith pool, astaro says "QoS Bandwidth settings do not make sense"

I have read in the forum that could be a bug in the firmware.

First: I have enable in status tab the interfaz.

Second: I make a traffic selector, type selector with source a group of users, any service and any destination to reserve a bandwith for them.

Third: In bandwith pools I have specified the limit of bandwith and the traffic selector previously designed.

In my opinion the QoS is settle up in the right way with the KB Examples and the help offered through astaro. So that is a bug in this firmware in my opinion, because I have try to configure in other astaro with other firmware and no problem.

    What version of Astaro firmware works correctly for you, and which version does not?

    If you would like folks here to help, please post pictures of your QoS 'Status' tab, your 'Traffic Selector' and the 'Bandwidth Pools' tab.

    Hi, I'm gonna posting the screenshots. The version where is not working 7.405. The version where works 7.401.

    Note: I have try to enable the QoS in any interface and in the Bandwidth Pool DropDown list and get the same error.

    I'm a little confused by your traffic selector - is "ASG-Alta Direccion" your entire internal workforce for that location, or just just the IPs of the top executives?  Can you share with us the complaint you are trying to resolve?

    I suspect that you're receiving the error message because you defined the uplink speed of "4) Ext-Tlf.B.N" as 512kb and you are trying to guarantee a minimum of 2000kb.

    Hi, ASG-Alta Direccion is a group in our Active Directory, so we have defined in the Users - Groups this group with backend membership. What I wanna do is to guarantee 2000 kbps in download and 200 kbps in upload.

    That's not the problem because I have changed the limit to 200 kb in the bandwidth pool and the error continue.

    Any clues about that? Maybe can I check something in the log?

    I have been making some changes and everything is ok if I configure Guaranteed Bandwidth: 50 kbits/s for All Consejeros. I can activate or deactivate without problems. Maybe astaro is guaranteeing a bandwidth per user in the group?

    I'm so confused!!

    I meant the complaint that made you decide on this solution.

    I am unable to reproduce the error you mentioned and cannot find any mention of it anywhere other than in this thread.  Anyone else?

    If you can, I suggest you enter a support request to Astaro or to your reseller so that someone can look at your Astaro.

    Thanks I have a gold support and i have opened a case with my reseller but I'm guessing more than them in a a week [:)]

    I asked about the problem you were trying to solve because sometimes the right QoS solution is counter-intuitive.
