Packet Filter Log Dunno This Address?

I'm still on 7.102 of Astaro and truckin along.  Lately I've been having weird flukes like I bought a new laptop, it got a DHCP address from astaro, but for some reason I can't get windows updates.  Even though theres an exception and all my other PC's can goto the windows update site.  This one can't.  Even with windows firewall turned off, no 3rd party firewalls, etc.

Anyways.. thats not my real concern here even though its odd.

My real concern is all the time in my logs I keep seeing this:

Default Drop  73.34.192.1 -> 224.0.0.1

What am I lookin at here?  Why?

Assuming you're referring to the address on the right side...

224.x.x.x - 239.x.x.x are multicast addresses.

Not sure what app it is in your case, but many OS's have zeroconf networking and uPnP etc which can all multicast.

Wierd... the 73 address thou isn't something I know. Its not my IP address thats for sure. If you do a look up its comcast's I'm guessing.

You can see its a top offender in this screenshot

Maybe it's your Comcast gateway?
