Unable to connect to PSN Ps3

Hello,

Just installed the latest ASG v7 software appliance. Now however I am unable to connect to the Playstation 3 Network.  I have looked up the ports needed and have created PF for each TCP and UDP port.  Then I have created DNAT similar to that of others with Xboxs however I still am unable to connect.

Traffic Source - PS
Traffic Service - psn1
Traffic Destination - Any
Nat Mode - DNAT
Destination- External (WAN) (Address)
Destination Service - psn1

I have created 6 of these for all 6 ports that are needed....

Could somebody help me as I seem to be completely lost now as from what I can gather it should work.

    Hi,
    let us try and simplify your setup. Do you use the http proxy at all.

    I will assume not. Rather than use DNAT why not just MASQ?
    Then a PF rule of PS3 -> any -> any -> allow or internal network -> any -> any -> allow.

    Yes I am using the HTTP Proxy as I have a network running, or which the ps3 is running on the same network.

    What should I do???  As my PFs and DNATs are not working.

    UPDATE....
    Disabled HTTP Proxy and I am able to login to PSN and play games online... however with it nothing

    UPDATE 2....

    Well just sitting here I figured it out as I put it in Web Security Advanced tab and I entered in the PS3 in the Transparent mode skiplist.
    Able to connect to PSN and play all games online.

    Confused by the people that posted the Xbox360 stuff as this is all that they would have had to do to get the 360 going as well [:P]

    Hi,
    does the PS3 allow you to insert bypass proxy statements in its configuration?


    Also you can build an access group that is allowed to use the http proxy and exclude the PS3. That also overcomes the requirement to configure the PS3 with the proxy bypass.

    Next thing is enable logging on your PF rule for the PS3, while logged into webadmin with the PF logs showing, attempt to have the PS3 access the internet and note which packets are dropped/blocked.

    No the PS3 does not allow for any input to bypass... however the ASG http proxy has a space where I can add the ps3 and bypass the proxy.  everything is working great now with the PS3

    hi, please can someone help me, if i was to use astaro internet security 7 with my ps3 how would i configure transparent mode skiplist please, what do i put in the boxs, thanks [:)]
