Question about QoS bandwidth settings

Hello,

I have some questions about the settings for Quality of Service, guaranteed and limited bandwidth. I set Quality of Service for Proxy/HTTP as it is described in Astaro KB #293189 (http://portal.knowledgebase.net/display/2/kb/article.asp?aid=293189) and it works fine but I wonder, why I have to activate QoS for internal and not for the external interface. Can anyone explain how it works? 

In this case I set a guaranteed bandwidth and a limitation. Does a guaranteed bandwidth mean that I can't use this bandwidth for other applications when it is not needed? Or does Astaro manage the bandwidth dynamically?

    My understanding is that QOS on the EXT interface affects Outgoing traffic, and on the Internal interface affects Incoming traffic.

    I believe bandwidth is dynamic, guaranteed bandwidth is only used when the assigned app is using it, otherwise it is available for other apps.
    (and the same for limiting bandwidth, iirc.)
