utorrent + ASGv7

The configuration is the following:

Torrent pc:
ip: 192.168.2.33
gateway: 192.168.2.100(ASG)
subnet: 255.255.255.0
torrent port 51568

1) I've created the networks under the definitions tab 
utorrent
host
192.168.2.33
interface 

2)I've created the service
TCP/UDP
source: 1:65535
Destination: 52568

3)I've created the packet filter
       i) Source -->any
          Service -->utorrent
          Destination--> Internal Network
       ii) Source-->utorrent (actual pc)
          Service-->utorrent
          Destination-->any

4) I've created the Nat rule
Traffic source-->Any
Traffic service-->utorrent
Traffic Destination-->External Wan (192.168.1.0/24 is the BT router)
NAT Mode-->DNAT (Destination)
Destination-->utorrent (actual pc)
Destination Service-->utorrent 
automatic packet fileter rule NOT checked

Could you please help me with the followings:

a)is the interface under point 1 set correctly as any?
b)Do i need to specify the BT hub gateway as traffic destination for the NAT rule? (gateway 192.168.1.254.BT hub has ip: 192.168.1.68 when connected to ASG by ethernet)

Hope it's clear guys...

PS: i 've also tried the socks4 proxy but didn't work[:S]


IPS seems to have 0 attacks for a week now?There is nothing on the logs.is that possible?

    Sounds like you are double NATing?

    Normally you would do a DNAT rule like:
    Source: ANY
    Service: uTorrent
    Destination: Public IP (ISP Assigned)
    Change Destination to: TorrentPCIP

    Packet filter:
    Source: Any
    Service: UTorrent
    Destination: TorrentPCIP

    If you are double NATing then it complicates things but should still work.

    Is the packet filter showing dropped packets?  You may need similar rules on the BT router.

    I applied the rules as you suggested (DNAT attached) and the packet filter (rule attached ). Still doesn't work 

    The packet rules I have at the moment are:
    1)any-->torrent-->utorrent (DNAT rule attached)
    2)internal network-->any-->voip protocol
    3)internal network-->any-->instant Messaging (IM) (only MSN allowed at the moment)
    4)Internal Network(192.168.2.0/24)-->Router (192.168.11.0/24)-->Windows Networking (NETBIOS)
    5)Internal network -->any-->terminal application
    6)intenal network-->any-->email services
    7)internal network-->any-->web surfing


    Not sure whether the packet filter make sense but I hope it does [:)]

    Tracker shows offline (times out)

    Could you please help me definin netbios rules on the following configuration

    Wireless router (192.168.11.0/24)

    At the moment Users connected on the Hub cannot access shared data on wireless router.

    the latest BT firmaware doesn't allow u to telnet so I have to downgrade to earlier versions.£"$"£ BT

    Can you please tell me any cheap adsl2+ router that will work with Astaro in bridge mode?I think it's much easier If I buy a cheap one that I will use rather than hacking BT

    Unsure what's popular in the UK.  We use Billion, Netcomm, Netgear, Linksys with success.

    Most Billion ADSL modems support it, they are a bit pricier than average.  I'm not sure what models of modem are available in the UK.  Netgear should be OK.

    1)The netgear DM111P would do the trick (ADSL 2+ Ethernet Modem - DM111P) supports full/half bridging.. I found out from the Netgear forums that :you can't pass usable IP on DM11P
    2)Thomson SpeedTouch 536. People seem to trust speedtouch for bridging [:)]

    Let us know if firmware change etc works.  Does your ISP support PPPoE ?  Googling seems to imply they do.

    If so, put the modem into full bridge mode and use PPPoE settings on Astaro.

    update 

    I have the latest firmware (I have v2 device). I 've tried PPPoA and it worked for 5 minutes then it died. I've got the dns and gateway setting but If I try to reconnect it just hungs.
    I ve tried changing PPPoA to cable dhcp and I immediately got the ip and gateway . However I can't get access to the internet (packet filter blocks everything despite the fact that I have any>any>any just to test the connection).

    I've tried the PPPoE on the dm111p but connects and drops immediately
    According to netgear PPPoE 1492 is the Max MTU value that PPPoE accepts (pic attached). However the astaro logs indicate that I should go for 1500

    I've managed to make torrent work. I've set my vpn with work and everything works fine

    Best way to resolve such issues is to initiate the connection and live monitor the packet log and work backwords [[:)]]

    at the moment Simon I am getting a public ip but I am using cable DHCP I am trying to find the appropriate MTU for the PPPoA

    I've tried that but the connection still drops. Stays up for a minute or so and then down. I will have a look at the logs again (both astaro and dm111p)

    Try say a MTU of 1000 and see what happens, the logs would be good.

    I can see the connection initializing but then it dies

    unfortunately I dont have support as I am a home user. Is anyone able to help with PPPoA?

    I've been trying all different combination...but nothing seems to do the trick
