HA Astaro with DSL

Hi,

I have 2 Astaros and one DSL Modem.
I have to connect both astaros to the modem.

What do I need to get it together.

1. a HUB

2. an unmanenged Switch

3. a managed Switch

Do I need a special config on the Switches?

    Don't most DSL switches come with multiple LAN connections? Otherwise.... any of the above will work. I don't see a need for any special configuration - and I assume you're doing HA - one of the Astaro's falls down and the other picks up the connection, correct?

    use the hub, no need for more
    the slave only "touches" this link for link-check and if he becomes the master - and then he's "alone"
    works this way; just be sure that u don't use a 10MB hub on a 16MB line :-)

    I know hubs are working, but what is about switches.

    sure, u can use a switch too - it's "more" than a hub; just means: a simple hub is enough...
    i have both in use - often there are old hubs left, then it makes no sense to by a switch!
