what operational mode does astaro have?
What will be the effect if you use routable ip from server rather than private ip that is behind the astaro firewall?
It sounds like you have a web server with a public IP. The correct way to install an Astaro is to give the server a private IP, then create an 'Additional address' with the server's present public IP on the external interface. You will also need a DNAT rule for the appropriate 'Services' ('Web surfing' ?) and the appropriate packet filter rule. Depending on the level of security you require, you might want to create a DMZ for the web server.
we dont have a problem with our web server, thats right one to one ip map from server we have public ip match to private ip. the problem is that if the ip of the firewall is same as the public of our mail server mail is smooth operation, but if the firewall is not thesame to the ip of the mailserver mail is not functioning. that the problem we encounter. Can astaro configurable for transparent mode all the dmz ip will be public will not use ip nating?
