Not use proxy but still be able to surf

Hi!

I´m new to astaro fw and i need some advice! How can i configure the firewall to let web (actully any traffic i want to) traffic from internal network to internet? I dont want to use proxy funtion. I want my pc´s on internal network to work with the packet filter rules i create. My setup is ethernet on wan with dhcp (i use cable definition) and ethernet on lan.

I think there is something missing cause in astaro live log i dont see any of my attemts to access internet resources. All i see there is default drop actions. I´m using NAT/masquerading internal to external(wan). What is blocking my traffic?

I´m using Release 7.380

Cheers!

  • Add a packet filter rule to allow traffic from inside the network to outside (any).... you'll need at least port 80 and 443 for web browsing, more for FTP, etc.
