For some reason pinging from any machines whether they are on the main lan or dmz are not able to ping external addresses.
I allow pings through on the packet filter and also have ICMP all enabled under the ICMP tab. The really odd thing is that a week or so ago it was working and now it isn't.
Thinking perhaps something may be slightly amiss I restarted the firewall yesterday but it still appears to be dropping outgoing icmp packets. The other odd thing is that it doesn't show this in the packet filter log at all.
Update: I can only ping IP addresses that have definitions. For example, I have an IP address entered for another company, my home ip etc in definitions. I can ping these fine. But if I try to ping the BBC 212.58.251.195 then it fails.
Is there any reason why it is only allowing pings to defined addresses?
