Astaro 6.303 dropping routes

Hi,

During updating network definitions, I mistakenly added 2nd definition for the same network, and Astaro has lost routing to this network. I found out about it after some debug on the console (route -n and tcpdump from host from this network)
Has anyone had similar situation?

    Have you tried deleting both definitions and then adding one back?

    If that doesn't work, why not just restore a backup from before that change?

    I simply added back missing route, but I just wander if it's an Astaro bug with have to be reported

    Did you mean in your first post above that you had created a duplicate in 'Definitions >> Networks'?  If so, that you used the exactly identical name?

    If so, then that might not be a bug, but it certainly sounds like something that Astaro would want to check for; a "feature request" at the least.

    PS Have you tried a 'Restart' to make sure the route is permanently reestablished?

    There is much more sanity checking in current versions of ASG, I know that some definitions will not allow a duplicate.

    Note, 6.303 isn't even the latest version of the old platform and support for v6 ends next year.  While v6 is still supported, feature requests for this kind of functionality are unlikely to be back-ported to the old platform.

    I have added two definitions for the same network. Reboot did not help, and as it is live environment firewall, I had to act quickly. After removing duplicated entries, and adding desired router all worked fine, even after reboot.
    How would I go about requesting new feature with Astaro?

    You can make feature requests by logging into your account on My.Astaro.com- but since you are running a "vintage" version of the ASG software you will find the functionality has already been changed- the duplicates were addressed in Version 7.  Many things have changed in the years since 6.303.
